If you are reading this because you are considering therapy for yourself you have already crossed a major barrier, but you may well be nervous or anxious about what is involved and worried about taking the first step to see a therapist.
 
Presumably you are coming to counselling because you want something about yourself or your life-style to change.
 
My name is Eva, and I am a qualified psychodynamic counsellor and a senior accredited member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). I work in South London (covering the Battersea and Wandsworth areas) I am committed to providing counselling in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment.
 
 
There are many different approaches to working; the way I work is centred on what the client experiences and my interest is in helping you understand yourself and to explore how your life can be as satisfying and happy as possible.
 
My job will be to help you fully experience and understand your feelings. We can begin to explore how things that have happened to you in the past might still be influencing how you are now; to discover what may be holding you back.
 
One of the original aims of psychodynamic work is to make the unconscious conscious and, in doing so, to help a person to act with more conscious control and awareness. Therapy is an inner journey of self-discovery.
